Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, a musician's daughter from Mexico, was born to the music-loving parents of her family. The majority of her childhood was spent listening to classical music, old boleros and the traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana is an avid fan of tangos. Additionally, she enjoys operas and any form drama. When she was 16 years old, she started singing and studying music with her mother. Flavio, a Mexican tenor of great renown began to give her more intense vocal instruction. Her musical education continued at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterward at the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. In Guadalajara as well as Mexico City, she was an active member of numerous opera choruses and chamber ensembles. Following her move into the United States in 2000, she sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before making the move to her current home in the southern part of California. She sings as a soloist Latin American music for private occasions and is a part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. Her passion for performing, music, and the arts keep her engaged in local projects both as an artist and instructor. Ana is a previous participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands (as well as Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana loves to sing the traditional Latin American songs and hopes that she can inspire others to sing the same.
